In photos: LA Galaxy overtake Timbers 3-1

In a chippy game from beginning to end, the LA Galaxy defeated the Portland Timbers 3-1. The Galaxy had consistently strong runs, led by the never aging Chicharito, and were even able to disrupt the Timbers defense enough to force an own goal – scored by Bill Tuiloma in the 16th. It was their second of three goals scored. Bill Tuiloma would also score one for his own side on a beautiful free kick in the 51st. He would be the lone Timber to score in the match.

Red would be seen by both sides in match. First to be sent off the pitch was Portland’s Pablo Bonilla in first half stoppage time for an elbow to the face. The second would be Marco Delgado of the Galaxy after getting his second yellow in the 61st.
