In a dominant display of talent the Portland Thorns overtook the Orlando Pride 6-0 at Providence Park on Sunday. Once again the Thorns looked relaxed and confident, putting together runs that included multiple arrangements of players, which created an almost unrelenting attack against Orlando. First to score for the Thorns was midfielder Hina Sugita in the 21st, quickly followed by another goal by Becky Sauerbrunn in the 25th. Sophia Smith would score twice, in the 63rd and 86th with Natalia Kuikka sneaking a goal in between Smith’s brace in the 79th. To cap it all off, Taylor Porter would score the sixth and final goal in the second half stoppage.
