Honeyball soccer is named in honor of Nettie Honeyball, the earliest known founder of a female soccer team in 1895. While her real name has been lost to history, Nettie is a reminder that all humans have enjoyed the beautiful game since its beginning.
At Honeyball, our goal is to create conversations and promote the beautiful game at all levels.

“There is no reason why football should not be played by women, and played well, too…”
~Nettie J Honeyball in a letter to the Daily Sketch, 1895
